Central PA Speedway Announces UFO Events as Part of 2008 Schedule

The formation of the UFO Racing Series looks to be one of the most promising developments in recent history of Dirt Track Racing in this part of the country and today Central PA Speedway announced they will host 2 of the series’ events at the famed speedway in Clearfield, Pennsylvania.
“I really like what they are trying to do for the guys in our region,” said track owner Tim Bainey. “We considered a lot of options for these dates, and when it came down to it - I just really liked the vision they have and the way they are approaching things for the teams.”
The first event will take place Sunday May 25th, for the track’s annual Memorial Day Weekend Season Opening Event. The UFO Series will make a return to Central PA as part of the Famed “Yankee Doodle 50” Thursday Night - July 3rd.
“We want to see this series take off,” said Bainey. “The UFO management has put a lot of time and planning into putting things together. I really feel like they have the best interest of our regional racers in mind, and I figured the best way we could show our support – was to schedule them for 2 of our biggest events.”

About the UFO Series
West Pa/West Va area clay-surface speedways have aligned in 2008 to form the Unified Force Race Championship. The UFo Race Championship alliance will link major unsanctioned Super Late Model events throughout the season with standardized rules and payoffs as well as a common point system that will award top drivers bonus prize money at the end of the championship tour.
The UFo Race Championship will offer race teams of the region the opportunity to compete for $334,000 of prize money during the racing season with absolute minimum travel distances. It is the goal of the UFo Race Championship to present high-quality racing events to the fans and high-quality payoffs to the race teams to create a win/win situation for all that are involved in the sport!
